Do not save your money because once you die you lose all of it, even if you win in the Gulag. It is much better to spend your money on killstreaks at buy stations, obtaining the help of UAV's or a Precision Airstrike. These could be crucial in your next fight, so spend that money!
Finally, use the marker button to alert your teammates of fighting or point to a location of interest. In Battle Royale games, communication is key. Your squad has to talk to eachother to formulate battle tactics, pick a location to drop, or to mark enemies. The marker tool makes it so easy to let your teammates know what your next move is.
